Another Excellent Issue! Good stuff.

I don't know where the files have gone, I'll upload them in my tutorials thread soon.

Wait, so only FPSC users can access the store? Aren't the models just regular .x or .3ds or something? If so, why can't the rest of us access the shop?

The models currently in the TGC Store are FPSC-ready and licensed specifically for FPSC usage. (Very rarely have I seen media made for FPSC that's able to be used outside of the engine via the licensings.) Other engines such as DBP are supposed to be getting support for the store in future updates.

The TGC Store in FPSC is the first part of the rollout, as I understand it.

Since FPSC has just debuted it's model store. Does The Game Creators have any plans on releasing a Dark Matter 4 model pack? I usually go with Darkmatter packs before FPSC pack's, becasue their bigger. Best,

Game Creator Store will now be the way we release all assets, so don't expect more Dark Matter packs.

I met with Lee yesterday and we felt we should develop store to work for engines in the following order;

* DBPro with store built in
* External version of store - to work with Dark GDK
* FPSCX10 with store built in
* External version updated to support;
- XNA
- Torque
- Blitz 3D
- etc

We are not giving any dates but this work should not take so long.

The question is, If its to be included with DBpro, that means it would have to be integrated into a certain IDE. Any hints as to which one it'll be?

No offense to the maker of synergy, but isn't codesurge more popular and widely used for DBP? I thought synergy was that commercial IDE someone was selling that got discontinued.

Synergy is a very nice IDE as well, and it's free.

I think it is going to be incredibly exciting seeing Synergy Editor becoming packaged as part of a standard DarkBASIC Professional installation. My testers and I have worked hard on ensuring it's up to the job of being the centre of your DBP experience. Just to let you know, TGC have the source code, so expect every release to get better and better.

But what about licensing? I seem to recall there being restrictions on what you could sell with things you developed in synergy.

Sweet! Synergy is by far my favorite editor. I used to use CodeSurge, but it lagged on Vista (not sure if it still does) so I tried Synergy out. I ended up liking the Visual Studio feel more.

Woohoo... Nice to see that application that I supported and helped to become what it is right now is going to be the official IDE of DBPro. Nicely done John.
