I thought I had this sorted out with a lot of help on this forum, but...
I can't play animation files using the simple code:

load animation "blah.avi", 1
play animation 1

I thought using a Divx codec was my problem, but I can't play mpegs or quicktime files either. I have put the file in my project folder with the .dba and also loaded it using "C:\blah\blah.avi" Nothing works! Its show the program running screen for a split second and returns to the editor without playing the animation. I have even used the .avi and .mpeg from the help\examples folder within DBPRo they do not work either!

Please help...Are there additonal commands I need to use?
Thank You

I've tried that too, it just returns to the editor without playing the animation. This is really making angry. I have tired every command in the manual that deals with animation and they will not play. It seemed like such a simple command to use, I just can't get it too work? I unistalled DBPro and reloaded it, tried it without the latest patch(4.1) and with it, same result everytime. I even tried it on another machine with different animation files, same result! Is there something in the program set-up I am overlooking? :-s

here's what the error report is showing every time I run the program:

ERROR TRACE
-----------
Failed to 'DoStatement(TokenID)'
Failed to 'DoBlock(0)'
Failed to 'MakeStatements'
Failed to Parse Program (MakeDBM->MakeProgram)'

Which fails to make any sense to me!

I finally got it, Mattman. I either have to place a suspend for mouse or key command or a wait command for the animation to play. That is the only way I can get the animations to play, and maybe that is the only way it can be done. I assumed you didn't need any other commands, but it do. I have to use those for music files also.

At least I have them playing.

Thank you again
