I'm planning to make some stuff for the store, but my moddeling and texturing skills are pretty....poor......

I'm going to make some models to learn to get better at modelling and texturing....

I've started simple, here's a weapon and ammo rack for you to use in your games, screenie attached:

(Gun not included, obviously)......

Nice, plain and simple. Love it. Thanks

I just made it how it needed to be made, I mean, would it really be necessary to give it Cherubs or something.......

I guess I should apologise for this Mega Bump, but hey, it's better than making a whole, new thread.....

I've made a background battle ambient loop in Audacity using royalty free sounds and editing them, it's an air-raid siren with some gunfire and explosions, would be useful for pretty much any war setting, past, present or future. Please give C&C, as this is my first ever audio piece for FPSC.....

Seems a bit repetetive, but it is good for a first track.

No problem with the bump from me. But who am I? If you hadn't bumped it I wouldn't have seen it. Anyway, I have been wanting a gun/ammo rack rather than just placing them on tables. Great contribution. Looks like it shouldn't take you long to come up with some worthy store products. This one could have been in the store as far as I'm concerned (at the right price of course. )

Yeh, but getting myself into the store as a seller isn't easy as I dunno exactly how to do it, being as I'm under the specified age, and I dunno where to get one of those permission forms from.....

Elementary my dear Watson. (OK so it is a poor attempt at humour. )

Email Janet regarding your interest. [email protected]

This is the official "person" and email address regarding selling models at the store. I am sure she will send you the permission forms -- unless they have a pdf somewhere online. That I don't know.

Hmm, another thing is I've heard you need to always be running the latest version, but I use Ply's Mod and my last attempt at a multi-install was....unsuccessful to say the least.....

Yeah, I've tried and tried again for a multi-install. I tried -- I don't know how many different ways -- but yep, same result: unsuccessful.

Well, just send an email to Janet and see what she says about that. Doesn't hurt and won't take long to do. I don't see how they can make a person do that. Doesn't make sense. However, CG, these road-blocks you're putting up seems to me you might not really want to be a seller. OK by me as long as you post up a download of your stuff.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing. I don't know if I'll ever feel good enough to sell anything, but that's a personal choice. I wouldn't worry about the store for a while, just keep practicing. You've got a good start.

Best of luck with your modeling.

I think you could sell stuff no problem X, you've got some quality skills......

Texturing's my main enemy, I can't UV-Map for my life.....

I'll fly an E-Mail to Janet, and see what she says...

Here's another little thing I've made, the texture's a modified one from CGTextures. I darkened it down and heavily grunged it, (too heavily, perhaps)....

It would fit in well in a sewer or an abandoned area or something. Please give your Criticism and Comments....

Lol, I just used the sand Dunes tool over several layers to darken it down, then add a green tinge to the wood to make it look kinda mouldy.....

Very nice coffeegrunt, and if you want me to do a little retexture and make it so you could have a pack of like 5 slightly different boxes, I'd be more than happy. I do my texturing in paint, and I'm a bit of an amature, but I'd be happy to help if you want me to. Still, very cool, I like the gun rack especially.

No, thanks for the offer though, I was planning to get some experience with texturing and stuff, I'm hoping to have a little crate pack out soon....

Same here. I don't mean to brag, but I could make close-to-EAI weapon models (not hands though, I suck at that) but my weakness is texturing.

*Bump*

Wow, it's been a while.....

Here's a little something I made last night. It's a light entity, I've got an on and off version of it. Please give C&C, plastic texture is from CGTextures.com...

Lol....I hope I get there....

To be honest, I'm more of a level designer than a programmer, and I'm more of a programmer than a odellor, so yeh, this is the lowest thing on my skills list.....especially texturing....
