Hi, i'm really new with this program and like normal i'm viewing the help menu to learn how the program works. It was now that i have this problem.

I started with the basic tutorial of writing the hello world words.
I did it correctly but when i pressed the exe button an error occured. this is what the eror mentioned:

"could not create C:\program files\The game creators\Dark Basic Proffesional online\Temp\dbp_program.exe"

Like i said i'm new to this and that's the reason wy i don't know the meaning of this or how to solve it. It would be great if someone could help me with this problem.

Many thanks in advance

I'd guess that you are running Vista - take a trip to the DarkBasic Professional forum and look for the sticky post about Vista compatibility - there's info there about getting it to run correctly.

I just got a new laptop yesterday and fixed this same error today by right clicking on the DBP projects folder and going to properties>security>edit>[your user] and checking all of the boxes for allow. Stupid Vista thinks every attempt to do anything on your computer, even as the only account, is some sort of hack attempt.
