Yes; Plystire was the first to write one. (maybe the only person to write one, so far)

Here is the link to his thread.

I think I'm pretty much the only one with in-depth scripting tutorials.

@meteorite:

xplosys made a tutorial for variables? That's news to me.

And from where I'm sitting it looks like Conjured was the one to promote it. I simply made a comment.

And don't get me wrong about self-promoting when I do. If someone else's work would be a better option for the circumstance, I'll more than likely forward people to theirs and not mine.

Why would Ply's mod be any different? His mod had just as amy variables as the origional FPSC. He has some different scripting commands, but no new variables like more globalvar and local var. I am sorry Mad nightmare, but every post you have posted so far has stated either something someone has stated previously, like two or three posts up, or something such as Ply's mod. Please, be more constructive in your posts.

I am sorry, Hybrid, but every post you have made since I started looking at this board today has either personally attacked Mad Nightmare, or has been inconstructive and hyprocritical to boot.

To be fair, I did not want to mention my variable system in this post because it may be considered irrelevant, but since you have brought it up and misconstrued the relevance and power of the system I'm going to fill you in:

1) The official version of FPSC is limited to 99 variables. Plys Mod has no limit.
2) The official version of FPSC labels the variables by numbers, which can be very confusing in the long run when using MANY variables at once. Plys Mod labels the variables with actual names to prevent confusion between variables.
3) The official version of FPSC is limited to checking, setting, and incrementing each variable. Plys Mod not only allows checking, setting and incrementing of variables, but also multiplication, division, modulation, AND allowing variables to be used in ANY OTHER command in the entire scripting language. An example:

Please, oh please, do your research before making claims like the ones you just made.

I gave the code for my variable system to Lee and I even asked him to use it. I don't if he will or if he even wants to, but from the sounds of it, he doesn't plan on expanding the current variable system any time soon.

And now, to remain on topic:

If the original poster needed certain aspects from the official versions of FPSC past V1.07, then I would suggest he stay with the official updates and not to use a Mod. One must weigh their options before jumping into the pool, so to speak.

First of all, I am deeply sorry to how I treaded Mad Nightmare. I verrreacted to his cactions and became the same thing that I was trying to prevent. I honestly had a bad day and was releasing some steam on people. I am sorry if I caused any sorrow. Now, to be on topic, I did not know that your mod nad a more advanced variables system in place. I can only hope that Lee decides to use it in the migration.
