Update or change you drivers, must be a driver issue.

One thing though, don't take this the wrong way, but buying a new FX5200 is just silly, you can buy far better cards for next to nothing these days.

Aye, I gave you a recommendation in your other thread. If your game still doesn't load with the downloaded driver, your card most definitely just doesn't support the game.

Hurray for teh logd!

hmm. the only reason im using an old card...is because of my rediculiously old motherboard/processor. i have a 800mhz AMD Duron Processor. With a Via Apollo Motherboard. Its a 2001 Compaq Presario Hand-Me-Down. Im not really looking for next gen experience. Just....Experience.

Okay so ive decided I will Return it if i can find a better (compatable one). I dont have a PCIe Slot so a 8500GT is out of the question. (I have 3 PCI slots and 1 AGP) and staples only has one other card that I can use and thats a 6200. Is a 6200 eneough of an upgrade that it justifies the return?

I'd say so Vesper, the 6200 is probably more than twice as fast as the 5200.

It's not, I moved from a 5200 to a 6200 and the difference was in the region of 20%.

Yeah, AGP 8x. And I don't need any more heat in there, nor do I have any cash for a new card. I was tempted by something in the 7000 range, but it's very costly for what you're getting.

hmmm. hers my plan for hte time being in going to stick with my 5200(more than eneough for what I need it for(halo, hitman contracts, Psychonauts, and the like)) and once i get a job (just graduated) im going to buy a new mother_board with some PCIe slots.(found one for $83). Then a new processor/video card. so basically building my franken-Puter one piece at a time. Tomarrow, im going to buy a sound card to escape my weak ass integtrated audto. (diamond 5.1 surround sound card, with some 5.1 speakers for around 120$...woot!)
