the face is meant to look like that, i tryed to make it look like his face was burned with acid.his clothes could be better but its free, enjoy

well its called a camera, Total Textures, cd creatures and humens,pictures of my own skin, face, hair,my wifes,my whole family, some of my clothes.these texturs are not perfect, no seames, my maps wrap all around,textures just put on real in a rush.i was not asking how good it was ive made way better, just thought it would be nice to give away.

Really, my post was saying that it was really low-res, like the face was bad, it was just a image of mirrored skin of-which stretched into the collars texture. I think you should download a better program(you have 3ds MAX!) Look at some tutorials, and believe me, you will become better. As I'm worried this may be the certain area of quality on the textures.
Look at the quality of a 3ds Max model to a cbmodel.
Max..

CBModel Pro..
Well I know what they look like.
But what I'm getting at is CBModel Pro is best for Normal Maps, A free Zbrush nothing else. So what I'm also getting at is the more detail you can include. Also CBModel Pro produces models with a triangluar mesh, and over does it causing it to have some mesh issues.

weel i dont texture in cb model pro, i do my maps in uv mapper pro,then i texture in gimp, yes i need to add more detail sometimes but im still taking tutts. there is nothing rong with my models, 3ds max make the same quality models as i do. the maps are coming along tough.but as far as the quality goes this one is not that good. but i was tired and its free. if you have any better texturing tutts let me know.

i would not say owened, i own myself, but i must say they are nice but not better then mine. still gives him no right to go thread to thread and down other peoples work, your work is not profeshional at all. there ok but in game there not that good, besides no one is going to put a beach chair in there games.lol, as far as pixsar wanting them or mine fat chance. but dont go into my thread where im giving animated people away for free and down me for it. im reral sick of others putting others down just for laphs. i just think you have a big head, i see no one puts your stuff down even though a body bad looks like a trash bag with a zipper and your other stuff is quite cartoonish. grow up and leave your own buisness to your own.

ohhh, i got more if you want to see, no beach chairs, no boddy bags, no machinery, people that move shoot chase, they are not easy to make.not just stuff that sits there and looks at you. as far as owened, not.ive been making your styeled stuff for over ten years now, not for fps, but for other peole, ive made chairs, bags, you name it ive made it, not so many wepons but i could. i know your styell, its ok. but it was me 5 years ago.

Really, I was just being giving you kind critique, why would I give you my Angry Critique or whatever Ice-Cube says, why would I do that if I been slapped and banned in one month? Before december. Well let me tell you this. You can't take it because everyone grew into saying "Nice work" "Great!" "Awesome". But before you came along, in the old TGC before more people came, even free models was critized, ask Cheese Cake and others, you grew into a routine getting positive feedback and when you get negative feedback, you go into a hissy fit trying to prove them wrong, so improve your attitude. I need to improve my aswell, but if you ask Darimc, I used to do it to him, and since I started to do that I do believe his work got better. So now I'm not going to post in this thread nomore. Unless you want to fight, get me banned, and carry on your "positive" feedback roll, where you believe your on top. Or.. I just stop posting to this whilst you sort out your attitude when someone posts negative feedback.

Dude.. No. Harshness is what forces people to work harder! I'm just trying to help you improve, and when they get a good comment they know they have improved, saying "GREAT" on every model someone makes will make them think they are making great models! Making them make the same quality over and over again, and making them not improve on their modelling skills.

Daniel i havent downloaded your model yet but i will soon ,i think its cool that you are making and giving them away .you have come a long way from your first posts you made,but i have to agree with Deathead on the texture of this model ,i think you need to take more time over setting out your uv map , to get rid of the stretching try using a checkerboard texture on it first & play about with it till its looking about right then start laying down your texture,also make your map about twice the size of your finished texture then shrink it down when its done this makes it a lot easyer to work on .
i hope this helps as i dont want to see you get put off ,

i have made a few characters but i cant seem to get the anims looking good without problems with stray points ,so you have 1 up on me there mate .
if i was you i would do a remake of the texture for this modelthen rub it in our faces lol

also you should enter Aaagreen character comp (as i think im the only entrant )

You guys Its Free He doesn't need to give out a Fantastic model if he doesn't want to. Plus this isnt like an object or a free texture, this is a fully working character which is hard to do. And if its anything like his alien pack that is for sale for Only $4.99 you get like 11 fully working characters its a great deal. It should be good. And i have seen alot of his good work he does a great job and why havnt you guys tried to help him instead of oh you got pwnded you got pwned how does that help?

thanks henry, i cant figure out how to make my map conect to map all the way around. ive tryed everything i could think of, but i have my alien pack for the third prize so i cant enter the compitition.never tryed the checkerboard thing, thank you for the thumbs up on the checker board thing.

im not entering for the prizes ,its just a good way for me to get my finger out and try to finish a model.

the best way ive found is to try to hide your seams on the inside of the legs and arms .
theres some great tuts out there on the subject give it a google you will learn a lot .

@death head maybe you should work a little harder on your own models and thank anyone who give out a free character model. you use max but you need to leran how it is used a little. As far as Daniel starting an argument it seem you were pouring gas on a fire.

You probably couldn't create a model in 30 minutes in max, but I wouldn't really consider that alien amazing quality.

For starters, it is fpsc (first person shooter creator), not fps. That is the style of game it creates. Secondly, if you have been modeling for ten years and his models were what you made five years ago, you really haven't progressed much.

I believe so too.

Sorry Daniel, I am with Deathead on this. Your models are decent but they don't compare to professional work or to that of bond 1's or Jon's. But don't get mad, I'm just telling you that you should keep on trying to improve.
