Hi guys, i'm a lecturer all prepped up (sort of) to teach darkbasic in september but find the GUI very deispleasing and outdated and was wondering if (as with pro) there is a more Windwos friendly nethod of coding?

Here's a few IDE's for DarkBASIC not in any particular order (though I generally prefer DarkEdit)

DarkEdit

Waffle's

TDK's DarkIDE

Code Keeper

I would also recommend in preferred order though these are not designed explicitly for DarkBASIC:
Source Edit, Crimson Editor, and Smart Editor Professional. They are all free IDEs and you can edit the language files to highlight DarkBASIC keywords. They also allow macro implementation, customized tools and a host of other features. For large projects, I use Source Edit.

Enjoy your day.

DarkEdit should be on your CD.
Install DB and open the "Dark Basic Software" file, DarkEdit should have its own folder in there somewhere.

It is far better to complete a 10 line program than to start a 10,000 line program.

I've never heard of Waffle's IDE!
Is there a download on his site? I always get a "server not found" error message when I go to any of his download links.

Your signature has been erased by a mod because it's larger than 600x120

Heh, my Industrial Tech teacher hates DarkBASIC just because of the program.

If you can do any models for FW, reply to the FleetWars thread.
