I was thinking of buying Windows Home server for my networking storage needs, and I was just wondering if anyone has tried it and if so what do they think of it?

I don't see the point, when you could install something linux with Samba instead for that purpose, and for free

Unless you have specific media needs (streaming to an xbox or something. if possible, i don't know what that would entail). It would be fairly painless to setup in something like Fedora Core 8/9.

I think a read a great review in CPU magazine. Kinda pricey when Linux is an option.
