Hi Everyone,

I wanted to show you all a Machinima comedy I made using FPS Creator. I believe I am the only one on Machinima who has actually used the FPS Creator program. I intend to make the program proud through video game movie usage as well.

Take a look at my comedy through my movie's website and let me know what you think with using FPS Creator for Machinima:

Thanks!
Brad.

You can't flush a human down a sh*tter! xD classic

It was very "Master chief sucks at halo" Did you get the idea from it? Regardless of the fact the idea has been done to death, I did enjoy it. Are you planning anymore parts? I was sad when it ended : <

I watched some of the first part. The pacing was much too slow for me. I got bored with it very quickly since there wasn't really anything happing. Stuff needs to happen.

An interesting experiment but I would advice:
1. More action or interesting stuff going on.
2. Less "filler" dialog - there was a lot of blabla, cut it to the point.
3. Trim, trim, trim. The most popular videos on Youtube are often shorter than one minute. This is for a reason. People don't want to spend six or seven minuttes starring on an online video unless it is REALLY good.

When I made Kill the avatars in FPSC my top priority was to keep it a focused experience through the game. The result was a five minute game that could easily have been longer but that would have added nothing of real value to the player. Always keep focus on your message and keep out the filler stuff.

I hope this is usefull to you in some way

edit: just watched most of part 2. More action but still a lot of hallways. I keep thinking that this could all be re-cut to a tighter and more exciting 3-4 minute movie.

I could say that I might have been the first publicly known to do
that. i told a bunch of people at IDGN about me going to do one. I
did. But hence I've moved on to Halo 3. I've even worked one with HL2
but I never released it and don't intend too. It's full of inside
jokes, so no one will get it. I'll check this out though.

EDIT: Watched it. Nice jokes. Great idea.

...very nice effort.

Made me chuckle quite a bit. Good use of FPSC.

I must agree with the C&C on the pacing of the first several minutes...kinda did drag a wee bit too long...

I loved it.

But the beginning did seem a bit draggy. Plus you must have said 'What?!" like 15 times.

But It was great.

I'm gonna just say it, hands down, cards on the table, my honest, brutal opinion. I hated it. First off, the film was devoid of any directing, positioning, cinematography, composition, etc. It was one long grind through a boring camera. It can hardly be called a movie, because what's happening on-screen is completely detached from the dialogue, which is what you clearly focused on. It would be nice if the dialogue was thought out well and was actually funny, but I found the humour cheap and unnecassarily bawdy. And don't get me started on the captain who thinks he's a character in Red vs. Blue. Hopefully you can take a few hints away from what I've said and I hope your future films are better. Good luck.

If it feels good, it's a sin.
