EDIT 1: yes i kinda see that i spelled copyright kinda wrong sorry
EDIT 2: new post read that (made new post to save room)

I know im not a mod, im just saying and pointing something out.
Recently alot of people want guns from halo 3,2,1, from HL2, from CS, etc. IF WE copy any of it(including models,skeltons,characters segments etc)... we ourselves can be sued for half the amount of © © infrigment if we copy the models,skeltons etc. What this is its called © intrusion,

this is from wikipedia
Quote: "Several exclusive rights typically attach to the holder of a copyright:

* to produce copies or reproductions of the work and to sell those copies (including, typically, electronic copies)
* to import or export the work
* to create derivative works (works that adapt the original work)
* to perform or display the work publicly
* to sell or assign these rights to others
* to transmit or display by radio or video

The phrase "exclusive right" means that only the copyright holder is free to exercise those rights, and others are prohibited from using the work without his permission."

If you see this * to create derivative works (works that adapt the original work), that means that HE/SHE can only do it.and then again it says and others are prohibited from using the work without his permission. Which makes another limit.

So please for the sake of you, DO NOT do copyright intrusion.

-Thanks

This is for helpfull reasons thanks

Post number 2
Also This is basically the same as infringment but under a diffrent category. Please understand that if you wish to do any of the model makings to contact the owner of the orgrinal model

© notices/Alarms from CS and Half life the series taken from there website:

Claims of Copyright InfringementValve respects the intellectual property rights of others, and we ask that everyone using our internet sites and services do the same. Anyone who believes that their work has been reproduced in one of our internet sites or services in a way that constitutes copyright infringement may notify Valve's copyright agent by providing the following information:

# Identification of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed;
# Identification of the material that you claim is infringing and needs to be removed, including a description of where it is located on the Valve internet site or service so that we can locate it;
# Your address, telephone number, and, if available, e-mail address, so that we can contact you about your complaint; and
# A signed statement that the above information is accurate; that you have a good faith belief that the identified use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf in this situation.

as you can see these games know about this stuff, check the website it will give a load of alarms

----
The same Policy goes with every known game. Contact the owners of the model you will be editing if they give you permission i suggest copying the Agreement and pasting it as a Licence of Agreement in your model or game

If the #2 pencil is so popular why is it still #2?

I do, just watch your self around here. It's very easy for stuff to become flame bait. Also, you can't really swear around here, you'll get in trouble.

This thread is a complete and total waste of time.You should know to check the licenses of what you plan on using in your games before you use them.If you get sued because you failed to adhere to the terms of the license then that's your own fault.
