Does anyone know the exact dimensions for segment pcs? Im trying to use the editor for my sidewalk pieces, and have used a floor template exactly.

But when run through this editor and used in-game, the character locks up and cannot move.

So naturally I have to ask: Are there exact dimensions for segments??

Anyone know?

Thanks.

When converting .3ds to .x the dimensions are measured in modelunits and its 1 MU= 1 segment unit, so a segment is 100 MU x100 MU. Strange enough that some exporters do not use MU so it changes to 254cmx254cm in sketchup with the xporter plugin for example. There was a thread on the inch measure of the segment also, you can search that but honestly i think if you make a custom segment and your character gets stuck on it it has other reasons than segment size unless you don't make HUGE segments (more than three segment widths in a whole). Maybe you would move your character up a little with [pageup]and test if it still sticks...

I am Jacks complete lack of surprise.

Hi daarboven,
Thanks for the help. I was able to finally get the dimensions, but all I have is the actual model. So I saved it as a template that I use every time now.

I use AC3D too, and find it easy to make good use of the model template that I made. Now I can tweak sidewalks and asphalt to my hearts content.

Hey thanks again for this info.
