Not entirely sure if this is worth a WIP yet but I guess I have to start sometime and some of the other games / applications featured here aren't as developed as this yet.

Dalek Invasion - or Dalekmania as its sometimes called is hopefully going to end up as a small online RPG with most of the current characters from the last three 'DR Who' series which have been shown on the BBC in the UK.

The Idea:

Currently the idea is set that the player takes control of a Dalek and must work its way up the ranks. This will be done by shear brute force (ie combat) and /or completion of small objectives /missions.

Work So Far:

So far...
>Players can logon to the server and wander around the small matrix.
>playerdata is passing around the server /client system well
>Chat has been enabled although querky does work reasonably well.
>Mysql system has been completed to hold monsterdata
>Mysql system for playerdata is made but not integrated.
>A HUD is in place which shows both other players and enemys.
>Basic unrefined DALEK models have been made(polys too high).
>A simple billboard system has been created.
>Monsterdata is being passed from server to the clients.
>Monster placemarkers are being added, speedmodels to replace soon.
>Mouse over information seems to be working.
>unrefined Laser fire has been added although damage does not take place yet.
>Server Logs all chat and player in/out.
>Player/Monster DEBUG info.


*Now I've wrote that short list doesn't seem like I have achieved as much

To Do..:
*List is quite Long but these are my imediate concerns areas to work on.

>Login system to store player data.
>Complete combat system so that damage ocurs and death can happen.
>show lazer fire to all players.
>Set respawn times for enemys after death.
>Collision system, so you can't fly off the matrix.
>Scenery, walls etc.
>SpeedModel a few enemys to use instead of placemarkers.
>Improvements on all models/textures.
>wordwrap on chat system
>scrollback on chat system.

*Its getting late, I've started so I can update as I need to now, hopefully every couple of days.

I will also post here my server IP as it isn't static and a downloadable version of the client in the next few days (when I can find somewhere to host).

For those few people that have got onto my server in the past week or so it would be great if you could leave some feed back.
