Woot
This year has gone by incredibly fast, but I guess that comes with getting older right? Each year gets faster? Looking back on it, it was probably because I started college and started taking on the responsibilities and burdens of a young adult last year. But I don't mind it, I was ready for it. Who knows what this next year will bring though!
This past year has brought me many joys. I got out of that hell hole of a job I was in and found a similiar, but better job. I finished out my first year in college strong with a 3.6 GPA and made the Deans list. I excelled in school in the fields I didn't think I would excel at, and in turn that has landed me another job in July as a web programmer (~$600 job!), even though I'm going into animation. This past year I have also found myself a girlfriend, and we are so in love it's crazy. We just passed our six months of going out mark and don't see the end in sight. She is truly an amazing girl and we have such an amazing relationship
Things I would change about the last year? Not much. Maybe to get off my butt some days and get something done, but I enjoyed those days of rest after working so hard at work and school. The only thing I would have liked to do was get a little farther than I am now with the game I'm designing. It's doing well, but I haven't had enough time to put enough mental power into it lately. My days are often exhausting!
Things I am looking forward to this year? I'm finally going to be starting my animation courses. This last year was mainly graphic design and web development stuff along with some core classes, but this upcoming year is going to be dedicated around animation and internships. I am ready to impress my professors! I can't wait! This is what I've been waiting for!
Anyway, another year down and many more to go. That is, if the man upstairs doesn't decide to take me sooner!
