Hi all,

I tried GOOGLE to find some clues without success ... This is why I post this here.

I'd like to find the mathematics formula (algorythms) to calculate the position & rotation of the earth around the sun depending on date (year, month, day, minutes, seconds) and, the same to calculate the position & rotation of the moon around the earth.

Does someone have this in his pocket ?

Thank you.

Kindest Regards,
Fred

Check this link - (Relating to Earth/sun)

Some Useful Facts
the Earth's surface moves at the equator at a speed of about 467 m per second or slightly over 1675 km per hour
Earths Rotation is Counter Clockwise
1 earch year = 365.26 days
the Earth's orbit around the Sun is not circular, but oval or elliptical
On January 3 Earth is closest to the Sun at 147.3 million km
on July 4 Earth is Farest from the Sun at 152.1 million km
The average distance of the Earth from the Sun over a one-year period is about 149.6 million km.
The earth is not upright, but spinning at an angle of 23.5° from the perpendicular toward the Sun

Theres lots more on the link above so take a look

Sorry to be such a nerd, but if 1 earch year = 365.26 days, we dont calculate the 0.26 as we cant be bothered, but calculate that from year 0, then means the true date is more like 14-01-10, (all those 0.26 days added up)

That is what leap year is for. Every 4 years, another day is added to the year

Completely off topic, but the first thing i though when I saw the title was 'Yeah, I can time travel. I've got a machine. A PARIS. Positions and rotations in space.'
