So I just posted a thread showing a little thing I found out about FPSC - I won't mention it in case they lock this for some reason. This is why I'm saying this:

I know others have said this but I want to make it official. Can mods please tell us why they lock, move or delete threads. Heres a little picture by BiggAdd that explains it a bit more:

Anywho, what does everyone think. Should mods tell us why they've locked a thread. Should mods send us a PM saying why they deleted that post you just did?

I think this thread should be locked with callous and without reason.

Also, BigAdd needs to lose some weight.

Dude why? I'm simply asking a question to mods and seeing what others think. Thats not breaking any forum rules - to my knowledge.

Well, first of all; these Forums have no PM system (it's been discussed at various times, with the same negative results).

Secondly, threads are generally locked because they either violate the AUP (which you were supposed to read when you signed up)....or one of the stickies at the top of each Board (which are rarely read by members).

Outside of that, I couldn't tell you; however, Mods are under no obligation to inform you as to why a thread was locked or deleted. That's just the way it is....occassionally a Mod will do so, however.

Actually that picture was made to depict how silly it is to argue over things like this.

I think I was drawing Insert Name Here, when he was complaining about the very same thing to IanM.

Basically meaning the Mods have lives outside of the forums, just because someone spends all day on the computer, doesn't mean they have to also.

In reference to the original thread, I can't seem to find a reason for it being locked at all, either. It seems that someone has acted a little hasty in locking something they think is slander, when it actually appears to just be idle curiosity. There's probably a very valid reason for the answer to the enquiry, but locking the thread just makes it look even more like a conspiracy (something joked about in the thread).

If it was me, I'd unlock that thread and do some research and then explain to Alstertheonly, why what he found is the way it is... but it's out of my domain, so I can't.
