like the subject title said, im intrested n purchasing darkbasic pro, but wondering what to get with it. Darkbasic pro must come with some 3d image editor/maker, but how good is it compared to canvas, im not sure if i should spend the extra money to get canvas or just stick with darkbasic pro's.

the texture maker also seems to be a good buy, but any comments on the pros and cons of those two would be great, or any other suggestions- im anxious to get started working with darkbasic pro, so sooner i make a desicion the better- thanks!

DBPro comes without bundled packages. So if you want a 3D editor or image editor you'll need to get one.

Have a browse in the 3D forum - this question gets asked quite often there ... there's bound to be answers in there for you

will give you a free commercial quality modeler, you can make textures in MS Paint if you like or use something like Vanseam to make seamless textures, cheers.

I dont think im gettign that- darkbasic doesn't coem with some kind of object creater (3d/2d/background/texture), but then wouldn't you have to have that stuff if you just buy darkbasic pro to create games?

you buy the language, extras are up to the user, some people use milkshape and some hate it and use 3D canvas, some even use full blown 3D packages, same for painting and sprite creation, it depends what you like to use, also for sound, mapping, uv editing, bsp creation etc, you can make a game just using DB primitives, they leave the rest up to you, editors and modelers are a personal choice, it`s better if you pick your own, plenty of free ones out there.
