ok here is one but you need a .dds file with the text on it(I use GIMP) also make sure it is transparent.

there you go just change the hudname and the file name in the hudimagefine part and you are good to go.

with GIMP all you do when you click "New" go to advanced options and for the background color do transparent, then press "T" and type your text and invert colors and there you go you have a suitable high quality transparent(except the text of course)hud that shows up ingame.

What about play a sound when you have the text zone up?

for that you would put in the "Sound0" part of the trigerzone's properties put the sound in there and voila you got a sound when your hud pops up.

You would need to add "sound=$0" when the hud is to be displayed in the script, Dar13.

Sound will not play unless scripted to play. So you need to tell the script that it has to play the sound and when.

Put it in a triggerzone's main AI place in its properties.

I know it's frowned upon these days, but it really would be good to read the manual, as well as the "Everything You Wanted To Know About Scripting" sticky at the top of this forum.
