Sorry if I seem a bit brief, or spell something wrong, but I'm typing this on a PSP.

When I boot up my computer, it goes to the screen where it lists the BIOS and the parts; but mine just lists my motherboard and processor and then sits there. It's been like that for 30 minute now, please help if you can.

and I don't think I can get to the boot menu or setup.

If you're stuck on the part before it prints out your hdd stats, the problem usually lies in the hdd. Have you been monkeying around in there.

Try unplugging your hdd cables and see what happens, if it boots up and reads out "no operating system" or something like that.

If that's the case, could be a fauly mobo, cable or hdd, you'll need to test the hdd in another pc.

Also, if you're overclocking the processor, try setting your clocks back to stock rate. This type of behavior is common when you've pushed too far.

take the whole thing apart and put it back together
or take out one part at a time and restart. set your bios to default or even better, fail safe default. Also reset the cmos jumper/cmos battery. maybe your battery is kaput

certainly possible like stated above, your ide stuff is screwed up. check all the jumpers and make sure cables are plugged in correctly and not loose.

otherwise you may have a hardware failure.

dont hate people who rip you off, cheat and get away with it, learn from them

That's always a good idea, but I just want to point out that it is almost certainly not a virus/spyware issue.

Just be sure to periodically back up your stuff in case it happens again and doesn't fix itself.

That said, that kind of wierd stuff seems to happen to me all the time, and then I say "screw it" and go to bed, the next day it works great. I think it might be just interference or some kind of electrical issues that clear up after the power's been off for a while.

Anyways, good luck
