Dar13, sent you an email.

@Everyone else, Because I just installed Vista, I don't have MS Office on my computer yet. I'm downloading the trial version of it, because I'm getting the CD Key tomorrow. Once I finish downloading the trial, I should be able to edit the database to be loaded into the program. The database doesn't currently have the screenshots, so that feature will be in a future update, but the description, model name, model creator and download link are all there.

I finally got the database to display the values... Problem is, I need to have each value open in a new window... But I'll get onto that later. Screen attached of current database (Yes I started over.)

I do? You might wanna take a look again. The swat thing is the top most item, but I have the sound pack selected. I've now gotten this to display only the media name and the media creator, so you can sort by alphabetical. Now I just have to figure out what happens when you click certain cells of that table.

I just realized something. I don't think you can "interpret" a license like that, how you state all of the terms.

Are you hard coding all the stuff in? Or are you reading it from somewhere?

@Inspire, It's reading from a database which will have everything in it. The problem is, I don't know how to open a new form displaying certain records of said database just yet.

@xyzz1233, That was just a sample. I plan to include any license that comes with the download or that is displayed with the post word for word, rather than a general license type as displayed above.

Gunn3r. If you are still using VB.Net for it I could help. E-mail me or something if you are.

Ok. I'll email in a bit. It'll be easy to move it back to Visual Basic.

New screens!

I still haven't found a way to display what I want, so I decided to add on to the GUI and add on to the database. I have 3 screens of it now, with a bit more stuff in it, so that you can see the sorting features at work.

Screen 1: Sort by User Name

@gunn3r: I was going to ask Little Bill if he would be interested as he is using .net. I hope you two can get together on it. I loaded the project in VB 2008 Express and it will take me a little while to figure it out. There are enough differences that it looks confusing at first for an old VB6 programmer.

@Little Bill: I'm working out a couple of bugs and will get back to you soon. However, if you start work with Gunn3r you may be busy enough.

Lol... Imagine walking blind into it, and you've got me!

Once I get the coding down for displaying a new form with the database record that you clicked on, I should be able to release it.

I have decided that I will release this as a public alpha demo. The beta will be closed and will hopefully have the new window pop up with detailed info and such. The public alpha will be the release seen in the screens with the download link column added. Right now, I'm too tired to compile and upload it all, so I'll do it tomorrow. I will post a new thread in the Chat area, as it seems that this would fit better over there.
