Ok so I know I could post this on some other forum all about routers, but quite frankly, i trust the knowledge of ppl here more.

So I have a Linksys 2.4ghz wireless router.

Lately every 15-20 mins (sometimes long sometimes shorter) it craps out and I have to unplug it and re-plug it in. Now the strange thing about this is that if I'm on World of Warcraft, WoW is still connected and I can play, but I cant surf the net, and if I log off i lose my connection to WoW too. Im not wireless, but my sister and mom are and they lose the connection too. Any ideas?

Do you have ZoneAlarm installed with any recent updates? If that's the case, make sure the firewalls are configured to specifically allow your own local IP.

Next time it goes out, see if you can ping the router. Also, is this an older Linksys or one of the newer Cisco versions running linux?

cmd.exe -> "ping <router IP adress>".
