ok scripting seems to be a lot easier then i thought it be, so i'm sorta having fun making things do exactly what i want

my question is can you referance something that is in a seperate script. so if i had

"hudshow=check1"

in 1 script but havent named it there, so i figured i could use the

"hudname=check1"

in a seperate script that activates when the objective is completed which would make the check mark visable.
so is this possible or have i been having to much fun?

Make the checkbox appear in one script and the checkmark appear over that same HUD with another script. They are not effecting each other in any way, they are simply pasting pictures onto the screen.
