Hi,

I'm hoping someone here can help me out with a bit of hardware problems. Basically I've got RCA cables (also known as A/V cables, you know, the regular cables with red, white, and yellow plugs used very often in tvs and sound systems) that I would like to plug into my computer rather than a tv. I'm guessing there are adapters out there that could convert data and allow for a type of cable that could plug into the back of a computer and I am wondering if anyone has any experience with this, any advice, or knows of any adapters. I tried google but it didn't give me too many answers.

Thanks in advance!

Just video. For the sound, you will need a female RCA to male jack adaptor - my blue-tak, sellotape and copper wire version made for the Wii continues to function seven months since I put it together.

eh? Many video capture cards take sound as well. If you want something decent, don't get anything less than a hauppauge.

Yes, well mine has a sticker declaring it "95 compatible", so it isn't quite the same. Mine has audio in, but not for RCA, only jack.

Thanks for the help and suggestion guys. To clarify I would prefer sound and video. However, sound is not absolutely needed.. Anyway I took a look at some of the links and found that, unfortunately, I can't use a lot of the video capture cards because I have an iMac. However, on Jerico2day's link there seem to be some products that don't require you to put the card into your computer but rather plug into your computer with a USB plug. Thanks for the help again and anymore suggestions are much appreciated!

We sell this one at my work. It's by Pinnacle, and accepts RCA.
