Dark Basic Enhanced adds memblock commands and a few mulitiplayer commands to dark basic classic. VERY far from Dark Basic Pro

Darkedit was made by the guy who coded the DBP IDE so i would say that would be better although i have never heard of code keeper so i would not know what that is like!

What is everyones problem with the old DB editor? I quite liked it, except for not being able to minmize it. But that's what the windows button is for. It reminded me of QBASIC.

What are Code Keeper and DarkEdit?
(And what is the difference between them?)

Found'em... Hmmmmm... interesting.
Which is better? (And why?)
What is the differance between them?
These could be extremly usful to me.
(Especially since I have yet to get DBP working. )

(DarkEDIT)
"DarkEDIT is a replacement editor for the DarkBASIC programming
language. It is a full Windows editor that integrates with DarkBASIC,
giving you more control than the in-built editor."

(Code Keeper)
"CodeKeeper is an alternative editor for DarkBASIC that makes development life so much easier! A true Win32 application that no self-respecting DarkBASIC programmer should be without."

Ok, three things.

(1.)
I can find no refrence to 'Code Keeper' working with DB on its site?

Link:
http://www.dannywartnaby.co.uk/

(2.)
If I build something with DarkEDIT, it's still mine right?
(I can still sell/distribute it without paying DarkEDIT's
Author right?)

Link:
http://darkedit.nmisoftware.com/

(3.)
How do I install DarkEDIT's 'DarkBASIC Expansion Pack Keywords File'
The file is a .txt file? What do I do with it. (And what does it
do?)

dark edit and codekeeper are just different editors for dark basic, they still both use dark basic, - they still are darkbasic, just sort of more user friendly. I haven't got to grips with codekeeper yet but i use dark edit all the time, you can have lots of dba's open at a time, this means you can copy from one too another etc it's just easier, the only thing is, i think they take slightly (seconds) longer to compile, as they have to start the db engine each time, but thats the only thing

I have heard something with Dark Edit that if you compile an exe then it leaves a Dark Edit trail, and the compile is much easier to de compile. If you have any questions about Dark Edit then you can head on over to www.realgametools.net and email Guy Savoie, the creator. I think DE comes with DB actually... When I used classic I used it all the time, just looks fresher, and like Steve said, you have can more than one source open so its easy to copy. Never used CC tho....

Hmm i dled DarkEDIT its better than the old editor anyway if ppl like the black bacround of the old editor u can change the white background to any color(i think) so u be right at home
also when i got it from DB CD (wich is included) it wouldnt work
so i dled it then later i looked in my book it says u have to link it to DB but i alrdy dled it wich came linked x-d

use f8 to minimise

i like the dark backround of dbc (sadly, before i knew of the better features of dbpro, this greatly influenced my decision on my purchase of dbc! At least i enhanced it!)
