I have to run but I was planning to order one tonight and was hoping you guys could give me some tips. I'm looking for:

1. electric airsoft gun, $40 - $50, between 200 and 300 fps.
2. spring powered (or maybe electric, but spring would be more fun 'cause you have to cock it ),about $10, 200 - 300 fps?

Is Amazon the best bet?

Thanks.

for UK, if your looking into doing it seriously, check out www.actionhobbys.co.uk they have the pro kit, high powered automatic weapons, including a strafer heavy heavy support weapon and a minigun for all your shoot em up needs

Well computer generated guns arent good enough and real ones are too gory, and we cant be bothered to clean up the blood, WE USE AIRSOFT. YAY lol

A shop at www.AirsoftGi.com. I have always had a good experience there.

EDIT: I would stay away from Amazon. You'll get cheaper brands, and higher prices there.

Judging by your location maybe Jon Fletcher or someone else could model one for you? jks

Don't have any expertise on airsoft guns but i went to a friends cottage and he had an airsoft gun i think spring powered since i had to cock it. I had lots of fun shooting at bottles.

This Place is great, they are very cool, and have a good selection, they just started. But take a look

I just spoke to to the owner and he said he can get you any gun and will beat any price that you find.

The stupid government of the UK have restricted realistic Airsoft replicas, so if you're not a member of a registered Airsoft field you can only purchase airsoft guns that have been half painted in bright green!

How is that stupid? It stops people holding up shops with them!

Thanks guys for your help. Maybe I shouldn't tell you though that I ended up buying at GI Joe's (now called Joe's), in-store. I got a two-in-one deal of 1 350 fps single shot spring gun and 275 fps spring powered pistol, with goggles, a target, a sling, and 500 bbs for $60. I decided that electric would use too many bbs, and as I am only playing backyard airsoft, this is more than enough....for now.

I don't think that's stupid but at the same time a criminal would have to be pretty stupid not to realise a can of black paint would solve their problem.

Or you could paint your real gun bright green and people would think it's a toy
