Is there a way to have the player automatically face spawned enemies, so when an enemy is spawned, the player will swing around and face the direction of the enemy.

...as player controls are hard coded into the engine, it's very unlikely that what you seek is possible without a modification to the engine itself.

As an alternate, it should be possible to have enemies spawn directly facing the player. Just a hunch, not certain...

Then how about having something the player is stood on face a spawned enemy.
Though I will say, there is that mod that has the player camera follow an entity, ive see a vid with it following a player and a vehicle, so perhaps it can be done somehow.

@fallen one:

That'd be "Ply's Mod".

[EDIT]

I was going to say that this isn't possible at all, even with Ply's Mod, but with a second though it may be.

Here's what I'm thinking:

1) Make an invisible entity with no collision that will be positioned at the player's feet all the time.
2) Have this entity target the enemies that you're looking for.
3) Once the target is set, have your invis entity rotate to their target.
4) Now, set the player's rotation angles to match the angles of the invisible entity.

TADA!!!

It would take a bit of work, but I'd say it's entirely possible.
[/EDIT]

Does the plrfreeze command just stop the player from moving, or does it stop targeting too?
