And get bond1's mace from here! http://www.fps-files.com/index.php?site=files&file=236

This is legal, as Bond1 did give away his mace for free on the forums.

Sorry to the unlucky 18 people who bought this

If you're gonna release a "freebie", you're not supposed to remove the freebie and sell it, because then it isnt a freebie.

Okay guys, please leave it be. Haven't you ever heard the saying "The early bird catches the worm"? Or, "first come first serve"? He made a freebie, but it was only free for a certain amount of time, if you didn't get it then, tough luck. People do this all the time, it's completely fair. The Wii did it with their internet. Now drop it, this topic should be locked.

Comeon you guys, drop this crap now, and quit being so petty.

I originally released the Mace for free, within a few days it was down to page two and the downloads had all but stopped.

Sooo...I decided to release it through the store to reach a much larger audience, so more people could actually ENJOY and use the damn thing.

It's only 180 points, that's an extremely generous price, and most of you got points for free for testing the store anyway. I certainly haven't made a single cent off of anything in the store as of yet...

I've done more than my share supporting this community since I've come here, trying to create things for FPSC that haven't been seen before - like real melee characters, etc. And I continue to do so. So can we drop this now?

bond, bond, BOND! relax man, i understand your frustration over this, but we are just discussing it.

well once i buy a copy of all your horror models that will change (hopefully).

plus you have to look at it from our point of view...think of this, TGC releases FPSC migration for 2 days, then takes it away and makes us pay for it...youd feel cheated if you missed the download. and dont give me some BS story like you wouldnt, because you would. everyone would, and its the same principal here. people are just eating sour apples right now because they missed some UBAHZ 1337 weaponry, which is perfectly understandable. i for one had already downloaded it so im not complaining.

ps. i would like to know how you havent made a cent off of the store, if over 18 people have just bought this particular item...are you not seeing any of the money from your sales? or do you get paid in points?

I'm cool man, it'll take more than that to run me off.

I won't see any payment from TGC until I make $1000 in sales, since TGC takes 50% for their cut. A lot of the downloads are from TGC themselves for testing purposes, and the others are from people who got points for free.

I'm confident that it will pick up though, but it's definitely a test in patience right now.

I just gotta be patient...this is a brand new thing and I just think it takes a while to get the ball rolling on a new product.

TGC and Rick Vanner have been really awesome to do work for, really stand-up honest guys, I've spoken to Rick personally on the phone before, so I have no problem waiting for the store to take off, and I'm sure it will in a big way.

WOW, you havnt made any money? that sucks but you will eventually, in the mean time if you want to make some money on the side you can just upload some of your old models to
http://www.moonrisingame.com/

And make some extra money, in fact you make 100% of the profit and it goes right into your paypal account plus its non Exclusive so you can sell anywhere. Check it out, you'll see alot of people from here over there too, the site is being worked on right now and should be back too normal in a day but all the functions still, work, its just outer appearance. So check us out. Okay now that i plugged MR lol i can say that its his model he can do whatever he wants with it, he can raise it up to $10 if he wants or give it away for free he can even make a video of him deleting it and post it for all to see and cry, so remember he created it, Its His.
Keep on going BOND

Well know, seems to me that this thread has got a little out of hand. You all should really be ashamed of yourselves on the way you have been acting. Bond1 has been a great contributor to the community for sometime now and has been selling A grade products for ridiculously cheap prices. Personally I wouldn't say he is charging for the Mace, but really for the bug fixes and the new sounds he has implemented into it. Come on, 3$? and you whinge about it. Also with that whole security camera issue, from what I remember he explained about that, I remember he said it was really there for convenience, I could be wrong but that's what I remember.

bond1
If you keep making amazing products I reckon you will make 1000$ pretty easily. I'd buy your stuff if I was still interested in FPS Creator.

Probably is but I had to say something, It gets really annoying that people still expect everything for nothing around here and is one good reason I don't come to this forum as often as I use to.
Also was hoping that it would of been a post people would react differently to, a post people would actually read and think to themselves "Yes I have been acting pretty selfishly and will no longer post comments like that" but its wishful thinking isn't it

alright maybe more about 60...but still.

@laz: I know what you mean. It seems whatever thread you go to, you hear/read someone saying something about MR. It's getting annoying... It sort of reminds me of a gal I chat with on MSN. She rarely says anything, and most of the time, she just sends a message with a link to her blog, advertising it to proly everyone on her contact list.

Anyhow, as for this whole deal, I think it's no more than fair for bond to charge for his hard work, even if it's been up for free before. He's contributed with a lot of great stuff to the community, and deserves some concrete appreciation in the form of money.

Ok, aaagreen yes you can this is all you have to do go to the store and click the upload button and upload your files. You should include a screeny and a lisence if there is. Then you can email Danial at

He said YES, that he definitely wants you in the store. so email him and give him the following info

Model : Name
the price you want and your paypal address that way, we can deposit your money safely into your account.

Thanks aaagreen i cant wait to see you in the store.

@Punk: You don't offer a better deal. The TGC Store attracts at least ten times as many customers as there'll probably ever be on MR, and the TGC Store is hosted by a proffesional company. By saying that you're basically also implying that your service is competing against TGC's, which I think is against the AUP. Not too sure though, but there was something about it.

Also, what's your point about it being a growing community? I'm one amongst the lead on the Gunn3r boards, which is a great and growing community of indie devs and their interests alike. But that doesn't mean I advertise the boards all the time, because I let people join by free will. Sig advertisements and the like help very well on their own, there's no need to constantly remind people that there are other communities. But if someone asks about it, that's another thing.

Hey i never said we where in comition with them plus that is a stuoid rule if we cant be in competition witch we are not. all i was saying wad think about it this way if in a year or two we grew to large community that pumped out some majer bussiness and you took your models and thought what is a better deal?

Sign papers, send them in get accepted wait for the models to be posted on make only 50% of your work witch too 100% of your effort and not make anything untill your sales go past the $500 mark or.......
Go to MR and just upload and get full profit back?

You cant say you wouldnt take MR into mind.
plus aagreen asked for info so i gave it to him

Is one of the rules to be a seller at MR to say that you are leaving the forums and not come back, then come back just to complain?

Ohhh Wait what was the point of this thread again? Thats right it was spending 180 points on a model that was once free. Wait thats $1.80. No wait that $0.90 for Bond1.

Ummm whats the point in keeping this thread open again since the free model was taken down?

The reason he asked was because you mentioned it before.
Also, I wouldn't take MR into mind when it comes to modelling sales. No offence, just saying. It's just that, it feels better to have your stuff hosted and handled by an established company. Once MR's been established on the market for a good while, if it lasts, then more people will probably take it into consideration.

Check out the Gunn3r Games web-site and its growing community, and expand the joy of indie development!

well im not going anywhare, im here for good no matter what happens, i dont care if im the only one there talking to myself like a crazy person, im staying. and no you dont need to leave the game creators to sell something in moon rising. as far as selling stuff in a more established place, this makes no sence, if a person wants to make money they sell in as many places as they can to build up the cash flow.like i have my stuff in turbo sqide and four other places wheither they have been there long or not.

Don't take this as flame, even though I would and you probably will this is not intended in an angry matter, but advertising your site on almost every thread about models on this board and then when you have to excuse yourself you just say that "we are doing a pretty good job" and nothing more. It's basically spamming, and you really shouldn't do it.
Please don't take this as an angry comment, it is not intended as one.

And everyone else who is complaining about this, come one, just stop, bond is one of the talented modelers of this forum and you should respect the work that he has put out to feed your FPSC drive, and stop crapping about "WTF Why does this keep happening all the time?!?!?" or whatever, and even though what Blooddeath said, I would NOT feel cheated, don't make assumptions about people you do not know, I wouldn't feel cheated because I don't care and I probably never will care about FPSC. So no, the FPSC migration thing would not make me feel cheated.
None of these comments were in an angry matter.
