Yeah I watched a documentary on that a while ago, it's a really strange illness, but the men he works in the circus with also have some really strange and extremely rare conditions as well.

There's also a tree-man in Romania, though he's condition isn't as bad as this guy's.

There's a scientist trying help him get a cure, but the documentary didn't conclude.

Looking at the video, the comments are quite tame for Youtube, which strikes me as odd.

I saw it too.

Agreed, although you still get the comments from the single-celled organisms such as "LOL" and "L M F A O!!!!!". Sigh.

Poor guy, but then I think he did chose to let that stuff grow rather than keeping it clipped back, at least I think that's what I remember.

That tree-man like condition, it is a pitty that man has it.

That man who draws things out of his head, extraordinary ability.

There is no greater virtue, then the ability to face oneself.

I saw this. I felt sorry for the guy at first. A doctor found the way to cure him but he refused it because he didn't want to lose his place in the circus. So, not only is he turning into a tree, but he turned into a loser.

It's actually fungus. He has a natural condition similar to AIDS, except of course it's not Acquired. His body can't fight off many types of infections.

Isn't it like a large amount of warts? Which are dying due to the roots, so they go in that colour?

I don't know about anyone here, and I don't want to sound like a b****** or a flamer, but I feel it's a bit disrespectful, especially when you consider this thing really sad, well if you had sympathy for the man then you wouldn't line him up for a freak show on a forum. Fine to talk about a person condition, especially a rare one like this, but 'post other weird videos' seems rather heartless, treating it as though you were watching 'you've been framed' or whatever 'home funny video' programs you're familiar with.

Your statement makes it sound like you want to watch people's abnormalities and talk about different 'freaks'. I just don't think it's fair or respectable to display them in such a way. I can see why people would want to discuss the whole issue of the man's condition, why and how he got it, it's better understanding his problem. But that wasn't what I was getting at.

But you say you meant good intentions, so please, make sure you be careful on the way you word things.

i read that a doctor in the US saw this guy int he documentary and went on a mission to cure him, apparently it's easily curable if you can afford the antibiotics, hence he's making a quick recovery.

Wasn't what I was getting at, I'm pretty sure I even said that wasn't what I was getting at:

Quote: "I said: Fine to talk about a person condition, especially a rare one like this,"

But he talked about his intentions and cleared it up, so it's left there.

And don't worry, I was chilled, I'm chilled 95% of the time - I was kind of hoping my first sentence was there to try and signal that I wasn't simply "having a go".
