I've started uploading music to the store. I'm not sure if I've done it correctly so if anyone buys it please tell me whether it's worked ok, thanks.

Thanks Henry, unfortunately the store only does music in the audio side of things for now.

Good to see you in the Store Nickydude and by the way you yourself should be able to download your own work to check it and no points will be deducted if you do this.

All the best of luck.

How do you change the mane of something when you edit it?

Nickydude, I think you have to delete and than re upload. The name comes from the name of the track in the zip file. I had the same issue and I deleted the upload and re uploaded it and than the name was changed. Good Luck with the music and looking forward to checking it out...

@ Nickydude

I don't see your name in the list of publishers, so I can't see the music either.

Oh yeah, I'll keep an eye out for it.

Why not put a bunch of sound effects into one track?

Then the user could use Audacity or some other utilty to seperate them.
I know it would require some work on the part of the user, but they would only need to extract the effects as needed.
Not all people would need all effects, but the range would appeal to many.
A sound effects track would probably be a popular audio file in the store.

I got an email for the July Update telling me that she would send all sellers instructions on audio uploading soon, but I haven't received any yet.

Did you request instructions for the audio uploads or did you get an email?

I sent an email and two preview pieces:

Quote: "Hi Janet,

I've attached a piece of music for quality inspection (for inclusion in the FPSC Store). I will provide another email shortly with another piece and would be grateful if you could give me a verdict on if my audio work (both music and sound effects) could be included in the store."

Here's her reply:

Quote: "Hi Andy,

Could you please send me some samples of your music that you would like to sell in the store? Thanks."

and it just went from there and she sent an email with the store's Terms & Conditions.

Well then, I guess I will wait for the instructional email that Rick said she'll send us.

Thanks for the freebie horror track.
I would have gladly paid for that one.

I got the two background sounds (jungle and war), and I know they will come in handy for my current project.

Thanks again 'Mad Lad'

Thanks for the horror track. So sound effects can't be uploaded now? Hopefully that will change - sound is SOOO important in games. If you've ever played a scary game with the sound turned down you know what I'm talking about. Every ounce of suspense instantly disappears.

You can upload background ambience tracks. I asked if voices could be uploaded and they said not at the moment.
