Hey guys, thanks for the good words
Quote: "what's it like in the professional game industry? How did you get your job at EA? Do you have to go to an office and sit at a computer they give you for the job?"
I just finished my degree and applied many, many times. Before I finished my degree I worked as a game tester here so some of the people knew me. I don't have an office but I got a big desk with a big window view of the soccer field
Of course they supply me with all the computer gear, dev kits (PSP, Wii, 360, and PS3 now), TVs, etc. It's a pretty sweet gig I will admit.

I would have to say making a front end do cool things the tech originally wasn't made for. There's a good amount of R&D involved before things get heavy, so we can experiment with tons of cool things. Another challenge is finding and squashing the tougher bugs that involve going in and out of screens and have a rare chance of being reproduced--- those can be frustrating
I'm happy we have great amenities like a decent cafeteria, a game/movie library, a gym and lots of outdoor room with a soccer field and beach volleyball, etc. It's nice to take walks around the campus when you're stressed!

Wow, that didn't seem like that long ago
I'll try to take some pics of the work environment, but in the meantime Kotaku took some pics last year:
