I'm trying to make a new weapon for FPS but when I put it in the editor and test the game, the text 'picked up weapon' comes on but I can't use the weapon and the model doesn't appear in front of me.

How do you solve this?

Well, you ned many files to make a weapon. You need the actualmodel, the model for the hud, a lot of textures and sounds, and a lot of setup scripts. Look at the weapons in the gamecore folder to see what all you need.

blender won't make the crosshairs or the textures. GIMP would though(gimp.org).
by hud i'm assuming you mean a crosshair.
