FPSC Classic Scripts / Scripts not affecting player, etc.

I've just started playing with FPSC and scripts, and just can't get it to work. Just one example pertains to affecting the player.

An exapmle: I can edit the "coward" script for one of my entities so that when he sees me, he runs forward with the RUNFORE command....just to prove to myself that the program is reading the script. That works fine.

If I simply replace the runfore command with something like: PLRADDHEALTH=1, nothing happens to my health when the entity sees me. I also tried PLRMOVEUP=100 to no avail.

That's just one example. There are other things that just don't work with scripting and it's quite frustrating.

Am I missing something?

If there were such a thing as Free Will, I'd be exercising right now.

PLRMOVEUP does not work for some reason, nor does plrmoveeast, west, north or south. There are work around for this, but just the command will not affect the player. Mabey your health is not goin up because your health is already full.

That must be it then. I didn't realize that the starting value of your health was the most it could be once the game starts. I'm trying to increase it from it's starting value just to give me an indicator that the script is working.

I'll be away for a few days, but when I get back, I'll try something else, I guess.
