Woot! It's finally out. I am a HUGE HP fan, so I've been waiting for months for this. The teaser trailer, although it doesn't show much, is finally out for the movie which comes out in November, I think. What it does show though, I like, especially the little Tom Riddle.

Looking forward to more trailers, and, of course, the movie. It could be great, and I really hope they do it right, it's tied for 1st as my favorite of the series.

That looks sweet. I just got finished re-reading the series, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was kinda like reading them for the first time because I forgot like everything that happened.

I love how it looks like they'll be focusing on Voldemort for this film. Yeah, I've read the book, much of it still has to do with Harry and all them but I'd be interested in seeing the plot focused more around Voldy. Just my two cents.

looks great, I liked the fifth book but didn't like the movie. My least favorite book was the fourth.

Oh goody, this means another bucketful of Harry Potter jokes. My brother and I love to hate ol' Danny Radcliffe. For example, in the graveyard in the 5th one, Voldy knows the perfect spot to touch Harry and he gets orgasmic from the touch of Voldy's finger against his scar lol.

bhahahaa, shows how much I've kept up with the book series... I thought this was the 5th movie... bhahahaha

Well, I need to read books 5-end. I read #4 when it first came out... then #5 took centuries to write, so I ... lost interest.

I liked the 5th movie, actually. Better than the 4th, which I hated. I think the third was the best, followed by 5, 1, 2 and 4 in that particular order.

The books go 6,5,3,7,1,2,4.

I really loved the last 2 books the most, thought they were the best, although the little erm, "happy" ending thing in the last one was kind of lame, but otherwise 6 and 7 rocked.

I loved the fourth one, it was the best of both worlds (the exploration of the first three and the action from the last three).

@ Gil:

I also really liked the fifth one. The whole corrupt ministry thing was awesome, although the certain sad part at the end saddened me quite a bit.

Bah, I despised the fifth movie. I thought the book was fine, but after the fifth movie I'm not sure I want to see anymore of harry potter.

My least favorite part of any of the movies was the end to the third, where harry gets the firebolt and the movie ends. I had this big WTF moment, and it kind of ruined the whole rest of the movie for me. My second least favorite part was the whole department of mystery scene in the 5th movie. It was so much worse than what the book described I thought... I guess I should appreciate it from an artistic viewpoint, but even that I felt was far worse than what was described in the book. I guess having read all the books three or four times, I always feel a huge letdown when something I found awesome in the books is replaced by something awful in the movies. I could care less about them leaving out parts of the books, but so often scenes are changed to make less sense and have more action... bah. Third most hated part was when Dumbledore shouted at all the students in the courtyard in the fifth movie. I much preferred the original Dumbledore, shame he died.

Well... I'll give this one a chance. I'm not sure I'll go to see it, but I'll at least see what people say about it. The sixth book is probably my favorite, and unless they screw up the climax I can't imagine them getting it wrong. Then again, I kind of expect them to.

What'd be really cool is if they just skipped that scene and instead just wrote across the screen

Oh and if no one heard, it has been confirmed that the last Harry Potter movie will be split into 2 separate movies that will be released within 6 months of each others the reason for that is that they won't take one single part of the book out of the movie (According to them anyway).

Personally I think this is a great idea as I really liked the last book. But then again, there are probably a lot of people thinking it's dumb.

ye - the first i heard about that was seeing "Harry potter and the deathly hallows part one" written on IMDB. I think that's a good idea too. there were so many important bits in the last book, it really all needs to be in there.

Their reasoning is fair, but it just seem like a way to double their profits.

Yeah, like the usual stuff, a cliffhanger halfway an important dialogue.

What I hated most is that the movie experience is cut down compared to the book's one........

Alot gets chopped due to time, and the fact that each happens exactly one year after the other means that less time gets spent on them. Which is a real shame.......

Anyways, I'll go watch this, I actually skipped school for a day to watch the 5th....my teachers didn't even mind lol, I was there ever other day of the year, and I had great results anywho, they must've thought that I deserved a break or something....

You don't go to my school! They assume you're truanting if you're fifteen minutes late. Oh, how I wish I could hijack this thread right now to rant about my school...

Sweet. We're almost done.

Maybe I should go finish the 7th book. I remember getting to the beginning of Chapter 9, and then I just stopped for some reason. I was probably playing video games. But still, I should probably finish the 7th book before the movie is announced.

Harry Potter and the half blood prince! WOOT! This is more dark and ALOT more nasty!

When we wake up in the morning, we have two simple choices.

Yes, but it's now been delayed for 7 months for no reason other than they think they'll make more money releasing it then. Ridiculous.

Sorry Gil, but I'm going to have to disagree. These movies are a venture of millions of dollars, and to postpone or delay for profit is not a bad thing but a good thing. They can invest the extra profit in the 7th movie, for example - and hey, they've worked for it so why not? It's not as if you'd do differently with Pirates of Port Royale if your game was commercial and you invested a load of money into it, right?
