Cool target. To get it into FPSCreator you save it as a .X file and get it in to Entity Workshop?? I think.

Maybe you need the .X exporter, or do you already have it?

You mean save it as .3ds then import it in to FPSC? If that is what you're saying then no, entity workshop only imports .X into FPSC.

Ok... Well, I hope someone who uses anim8tor for their models can help you. If you really need the shooting target model now, maybe I can try modeling and get it FPSC ready?

ok,the error you are getting comes from the textures not being named right, if you name your texture one file name and not two names seperated then you should never get this error agian. i had the same problem , but then i notest that when i changed the textures name to just a simple name like to orange.jpg instead of the orange texture.jpg everything went just fine.

edit, this also applyed to some of my .x files also, not all of them but some of them.

Make your models in anim8or. Download a prorgam called LithUnWrap, it allows you to layout how the textures will be applied to the model, which is a process called UV mapping. LithUnWrap is free, and can import a number of different file types (including .3ds and .obj which anim8or can export), and it can convert them to .x aswell.

After you've made your model and put it through LithUnWrap, put the .x file and the texture you're wanting applied to the model in your FPS Creator/Files/Entity Bank/User folder. By running the "Make Models from X files" program (which can be downloaded from the download section of www.fpscreator.com), you can create the .fpe file needed to put the model into FPS Creator.

p.s. Textures should ideally be .png or .tga.

So do I:
1.Make the model
2.Apply texture in LithUnWrap
3.Save it as .x
4. put in entityworkshop
5.Done

Yes, except step 5, because Entity Workshop does that when you save your model. Good luck with future models!

Best.

Ok, do this in very simple steps.
1.Export as .3ds.
2.Open that up in Linthunwrap.
3.Print-Screen that and then copy and paste it in your graphics editor.
4.Make the texture.
5.Save as .dds.
6.Re-export model as .x.
7.Start up Entity workshop.
8.Open the model up.
9.Open the texture up.
10.Stretch to size.
11.Done.

omg ok idk if you got this yet but it's a very simple process, you download dbcov, then save the .3ds wherever you have stored the dbcov.exe and start it up, it will automatically convert it to .x, then you use tgc's make entities from x files program and once you do that, it will be converted and saved into your user folder under entitybank.
There. Hope you get it now, that's a cool target.
