Newcomers DBPro Corner / Lines When Using Input Command

Print "Hello, DB community"

When using the Input command with the following header

set text font "arial" : set text size 16
set text to bold : set text transparent


I get ____ __ _ _ when I input characters/numbers using DBP. I tried removing each of the commands above, but no changes occur. When I use none of them, the problem is removed. Can I get a head up about what is causing this, and how to resolve it without giving up text control?

Just to be clear, the underscores occur under inputed letters in random intervals.

Ok, I finished analyzing the code. How would you handle backspace?? An input command would allow you to delete characters before pressing enter, this method wouldn't.
