New class, Witch Doctor (seems like a new necromancer).

I am such a huge fan of Diablo, when I heard on XPlay that Blizzard announced it at Blizzcon I joyfully jumped around the house, and I told my brother and he joined me...my parents got mad of course and asked "What are you two doing?" We simply told them "Diablo 3 is coming!" and you shoulda seen the look on my parents faces lol.

Seriously though, I have spent more hours playing Diablo then any other game (not joking), even Unreal Tournament.

Anyone else this excited?

EDIT:Too bad there isn't an official release date

Diabo 3 does look pretty impressive. I tried Diablo 2 for a while but I couldn't handle the graphics and how repetitive it was. D3 looks pretty darn good though.

Oh and I'm pretty sure there's already been a thread for this.

Indeed, I didn't really like the graphic style of the other Diablos; too dark for me. However this one looks really nice!

Diablo 2 is probably the best game ever made. Definitely on the top 5.

I'm way excited for D3

I wish they would at least show us some more of their classes.

I have the first diablo, I liked it, but it got really repetitive fast. Is diablo 2 better?

If you thought Diablo was repetitive then you will think the same of Diablo 2...

Personally I loved both games and have enjoyed many, many an hour playing them both... I also enjoyed Titan Quest and even Hellgate: London... I am an obsessive loot collector in these games too, I cannot stop myself from collecting every single dropped item...

Same. In oblivion, I have about 10,000 gold because I just looted every crate, barrel and chest I came across. Good game. But Diablo, I never had it. But I may invest into this one. It looks good.

I will buy this, being a huge Diablo fan, but I'm a bit disappointed at the art style in this game. It looks more bright and colorful than it should. These games were always dark, and they should stay that way.

There's a good reason the developers chose that path: Diablo was so dark it lacked the contrast and diversity to keep most of it fun. On top of that, Diablo III, contrary to the previous installments, will not play in dungeons for most of the gameplay.

The style looks perfect to me, dark but colorful. Another Blizzard title I'm looking forward to. Actually, Warcraft is pretty much the only title I didn't love back in the days. Starcraft and Diablo are really awesome games.

Nope, which is probably why I ignored that thread.

Either way, we could just make this the Starcraft 2 thread, Blizzard has announced that as well.

This one does have Starcraft 2 in the title . I say keep this as a Diablo 3 thread.

Diablo and Starcraft were awesome. I never got to play Diablo 2 much because I was never able to buy it but I played Diablo 1 for ages and ages. Once I sat down and played through all the levels in one go. You should see how the town looks, alot of it is covered in unique items that I use to help me learn new spells but the whole area around the well and the blacksmith and the tavern is justy covered in piles of 5000 (or 50000, whatever the max number of gold per pile is) gold coins. Just my little stash. Did anyone here ever learn all the spells in the game?

Diablo 3 looks cool.
