How would you detect how many spaces are in a string? ...or how many words? It feel like it's really obvious, I hope it isn't.
Is it the space$ command? If so, how do you use it?

One way of doing it could be this:

+ Code Snippet

MyText$="Hello this is a string with some spaces. I wonder how many?"

NumberOfSpaces=0

for s = 1 to len(MyText$)
     if mid$(MyText$,s)=" "
          NumberOfSpaces=NumberOfSpaces+1
     endif
next s

print MyText$
print " "
print "That string has ",NumberOfSpaces," spaces in it."
wait key

Somebody has probably made a plugin to do it faster though lol.
