Darkbasic has been working perfectly well for about two years on my computer, up until now. I'm not sure if anything has changed, but I'm pretty sure I haven't done anything different. Whenever I try to start up DB.exe or DBreset, it comes up with the error "The application failed to initialise properly (0xc000001d). Click OK to terminate the application." Can anyone shed a little light on the problem?

maybe a restart or reinstall would fix it

Tried both. No luck.

*** DOUBLE POST I KNOW ***

I've found a fix. Bizarrely, if I copy my 'my projects' folder and then paste it in another location, DB. works. I have absolutely no idea why. It's worked twice so far, although I dismissed it as a fluke the first time.

Thanks for trying to help though

I use dark edit myself and had to configure the options to point to the dbc compiler and starting directory. if you are using darkedit and accidently deleted a hidden file that contains its settings, it would throw an error because it cant find the db compiler and therfore cant start. so far , this is the only bug I am aware of about db throwing errors and not running. the workaround is simply to reconfigure the editor options goto : "edit->edit options->dark basic options tab" if your not using dark edit then I have no idea why an unable to start error would occur
