Maby this question has been answered before, but...

I live within EU (Sweden), why do i have to pay USD 117.49?

From the Shareit website ->

* EU residents pay EUR 124.27 / USD 117.49 (incl. 17.5% VAT).

VAT? Its withing EU, right? That means no VAT as far as i know.

Is P&P included in the price? Do i get the boxed version?
Do i have to order via Shareit or can it be ordered directly from the DB site?

Can someone straighten this up a bit?

I was under the impression that VISA and other credit card systems automatically adjusted to any currency. That's why VISA is global, I think.

So for example, I could buy an inflatable porn doll from a secret country in china and pay in Yenn and my credit card would do all the conversions and billing for me.

If I'm wrong, then it wouldn't be the first time. Who wants to hit me?

"VAT? Its withing EU, right? That means no VAT as far as i know."

It's UK law now that (UK) retailers selling products on-line to the rest of the EU charge them VAT. This is a very recent change but unavoidable.

"Is P&P included in the price? Do i get the boxed version?"

P&P included, yes of course it's boxed - there is no other version

"Do i have to order via Shareit or can it be ordered directly from the DB site?"

They are one and the same right now anyway.

Cheers,

Rich

one thingie. If UK or Sweden would have been outside EU, the VAT would have been different. Now when both countries are inside EU, the VAT of the country (UK) is the one that is used. (for persons, not business)

Good thing that, otherwise I would have gotten VAT of about 20%.

but the thing is, I payed 124€ for the DBpro pre-order. And the funny thing was that euro was over dollar at the moment... it should have been a lot less.

one thingy too... It's rather disturbing to see ads without the VAT. That's because it's illegal around here.

lol...

I think it's better if you stick to english. That way, I can understand what you mean.
actually, you got 3/6 right. That's much better result than me trying to speak Swedish... I usually get around 1/5...

(you spelled that right... odd phrases you have learned)

"Paljon lunta, mutta ei soihtua / taskulamppua."

'taskulamppu' is a flashlight (you know, a maglite )
and 'soihtu' is a torch (those sticks with fire )

'mikkän' is not a correctly spelled but I guess you meant to say "ei mitään" which means "nothing" or in this case, if you would say "ei mitään taskulamppua", it is understandable. Just slighty bad language.

hmm.. maybe I should start using finnish instead of english in my games. Then I could put all sorts of kool names to my items.

I wonder how long it takes to get those copys of DBpro to scandinavia. Meaning that if it takes 5 days to ship it to france... well, you figure it out.

Not showing VAT (in the UK) was common on PC hardware until recent years. I personally find it a little uncomfortable to see a price and then get to the check out and see that the price is not what was shown. I'd hope that DB would make that a little clearer as they are not likely to be selling to businesses who can claim VAT back.

Another common trick I've fallen foul of is to be offered say a DVD at a reduced price, then at the check out P&P is added which brings the total for one item to be more than the rrp. It is commendable that DBPro includes P&P...I'm sure that any buyer would want to know the honest price and not be supprised by any hidden charges at the order confirm stage.
