Actually, I was just looking over some of the images. I though it looked cool. I guess it did come off a little obsessive sounding. My bad.

Lol.

@darkcoder

Impressive. Much more epic, for sure.

Though the FFIV DS game is looking good, makes me sad that my DS is broken, perhaps it's time that I buy a new one?

I could post any of the other Tifa pics, but they would break the AUP into small pieces and the rats would take over.

I know.

FFIII was pretty easy (although many complained that it was harder than the original). It was tough on you (old-school RPG's FTW), but that's what I loved.

FFIV, on the other hand, is a totally different level of tough on you. It's not that the random encounters: it's the bosses. Ridiculous boss after ridiculous boss.

That was the only hard part of III as well.

Anyways Kain's a badass but his voice in FFIVDS is so bad...

Not for me. The only hard thing about III was the final boss. But, even then, it's a totally different kind of hard. Instead of straightforward strength over you, it's the ridiculous level of strategy required for each boss.

Eh, it's alright. Not horrible, but not incredibly awesome. Just a little too gruff.

FFIV is the hardest Final Fantasy. I spent an hour beating a boss earlier.

Actually, the DS remake is significantly harder than any previous version. The monsters got serious boosts, the bosses got new attack patterns (and in some cases, new attacks), and the Augment Ability System was added to give the game a real strategic side. And the DS remake made FFIV my favorite in the series. This really feels like what FFIV is supposed to be.

Seriously, though, the original SFC and SNES versions aren't that bad, and the GBA version has a bug-ridden battle system that works very much in favor of the player.

If you want a challenge, go try the original NES versions of FFI, FFII, and FFIII. FFI is impossibly hard, FFII just has terrible gameplay (as always), and FFIII...well...they really had to tone it down for the DS version of that one.

Am i the only one who thinks the DS remakes sucked really bad? They just feel like Square-Enix dint even spend time on it.. Also why they would not make the games same style as FFVII, FFVIII and FFIX this is the style what Ninja Gaiden DS uses also..

They just suck IMO I hope that Chrono Trigger DS does not get the same style..

I figured it had to be. It's so incredibly difficult. That's why I love it, though.

I haven't played much, but it was so hard to look at after playing Dawn of Souls for GBA.

Quote: "and FFIII...well...they really had to tone it down for the DS version of that one. "

I hope you don't mean difficulty. It's actually harder on the DS.

Quote: "Am i the only one who thinks the DS remakes sucked really bad?"

Although you aren't the only one, the DS remakes are very good. III not as much as IV, but still great.

Quote: "They just feel like Square-Enix dint even spend time on it.."

I guess you haven't played IV.

Quote: "Also why they would not make the games same style as FFVII, FFVIII and FFIX"

Because I - VI were not in the style of modern FF's, and will never be in the style of modern FF's. I don't even like the new ones (save X and XII). That's why I'm buying all the remakes for GBA and DS.

Ive played almost all FF's including the orginal ones.. And IV could be same style as PSX FF's.. Just use diffrent style character models and Pre-Rendered backgrounds.. I mean technical stuff now here not actual "style"...

And ive played the Remake versions also and i must say that they should not even brother to remake it because the orginal versions are doing just fine as the remakes does not appeal so much..

They aren't because most don't want them to be. We love them for the retro style.

The thing is that most don't have a SNES or NES lying around. Those that do can't carry them in the car to play (or wherever else), and those that don't find that emulators aren't as enjoyable as the original. Also, it sells handhelds for Nintendo. I bought the DS for the plethora of Square Games (FF and Dragon Quest).

Yo, seeing as BSG was mentioned earlier in this thread, I see an opportunity to ask the following:

What's the deal? Is the show over? The last episode I saw was when
. Is there more to be had? I thought I heard it was to continue...

Sorry for the mild hijacking.
