3 Dimensional Chat / Milkshape problems

WHen I try to do texture mapping in milkshape, The object just turns one color and not the color I want. Can somebody help me? I'm new at this.

well you have to make sure you first have a texture in there...
and then you have to make sure to map it.

so like goto materials, make a new material.
go down to the first button that says "none"
find a generic cube texture and put it there...
make a cube and select it.
go back to the materials and click on assign.

now right-click in the 3d view and click on "textured"
should show it.

you can then alter the texture by going to Windows -> Texture Editor and then just like mess around with the vertex
