After playing battlefield bad company, I have decided to make the most destroyable environment ever in fps creator. This is a small test level and 90% of the media can blow up, fall apart or crumble. And yes it lags pretty bad, because of three reasons: I have a large open space, over 100 dynamic entities and enemies, but I could optimize it for less lag. I have attached a screen shot, I am uploading the video to youtube, so it won't be long.

i think the enemies creates your lag.

delete them and you will see that the Framerate is better! (...it should be better )

Have you put an invisible segment box around it?

Putting physics off and setting their scripts to default.fpi will also help beat back the lag.....

@Dark Goblin, Yeah, that is part of the reason.

@CG, I have yet to put a segments box around it. And if I change the .fpi scripts, it won't work because the destroyable walls rely on scripts.

After you shot down every wall in the house, I was expecting you to use the door to get out. LOL

Very well done! I loved the fuel tanks and the tower especially.

To me, this is by far the most interesting FPSC project right now. Are those walls part of some model pack or...?

I'm not sure if your using FPSC X10 but I've posted the following thread having tested the destroyable segment walls that come with ButterCutter and are not compatible.

Would it be possible to test if your new destroyable cutters functionality works in FPSC X10 ? I'd obviously be happy to test for you if your not using X10 at the moment.

Nice video and could be very promising.

This will be so much easyer I tried the same thing but instead of entitys custom made I built a wall using basic bricks you get with fpsc it took me over 1 hour just to get a fullsize wall then I had to edit it because some bricks merged with each other so I had too check it all again when that was done added a few exploding barrels and boom a wall came down brick by brick.

Thanks to all FPSC forumers and the staff from The Game Creators for making the software!

@Nomad Soul, Cutters next level was not created by me. But if you search "cutter", you should find it. And I don't think it would work correctly in x10, because it uses the same thing as butter cutters, an animated entity.

@Crazyx, I made it.

@MadChicken, Yes, this is easier.

so how did you get the tower to crumble like that? i treid to copy i made it a dynamic and gave it a destroy script of crumble, it didnt work but was i close?

What you have to do is make the tower dynamic, immobile, and set the destroy script to "destroyandactiveatce.fpi" and put in the "if used" column "destroy". Then create a bunch of dynamic pieces of wood, metal poles, roofing, etc. and name them all "destroy". Make sure they are dynamic and not immobile, then make it so that the entities have these settings: spawn at start=no but spawn after delay=yes. Then it should work.

That's how I made the tower, I made the buildings using cutter-next level walls.

Instead of making evrything destroy able make JUST 1 wall
destroyable and tell the player to destroy that wall....
and remember to lock the door LOL

and it gets boring when the walls destroys the same with piles of rock exactly same , and if youre destroying somthing make sure its with a bazooka or greande launcher or somthing...

blowing upp a wall with a pistol is NOT cool

Hope you understood what i said.

You got loads of potensial making a game look good with this....
