I don't know if you ever played the game called OKAMI on playstation 2. It is special cause it is like a cartoon video game. Here a exemple

My actual color is Color object 1, RGB(128,2,3) but I would like it to be random.

you yust simply nead an toon shader the only problem is that you will have to do the fx shader file your self and that aint easy.

I think your talking about cell shading, and like what Cliff said, you'll need to use a shader.

Here's a clever way I did cell shading with a level editor that came with Serious Sam.

1. Render solid 3D object.
2. On a separate rendering layer, in the same position, render a slightly larger hollow 3D object, a room.

I don't know if something like this can be done in DBPro as well, since I'm still programming 2D stuff and haven't touched 3D yet. But rendering a room around a solid object gave the object an outline of the color of the room.

It doubles the polycount of any model using this method, which isn't convenient...

Use the toon shader from the ultimate shader pack (stickied somewhere). Works perfectly for my project, I just modified the fx file to make the lines a bit thicker.
