Why grey and black?
You think that the people leading teams of artists and deciding who to fire like grey?
I say put as much tasteful color in there as you can, make it pop out at whoever is watching it and make them take notice.
Whoever invented dark grey on black as a colour scheme should be ashamed - there's a gazillion videogame and concept artists using the same colour scheme.
I remember watching a documentary on this artist who would only paint for a few seconds, he'd just add some colour to a piece and call it his own. He had a team of damn good photo-realism artists, they'd capture a scene that looked almost like a photograph, technically incredible but artistically bland. Then this guy would come along and add a cigar butt or a splatter of deep red blood, kinda adding a story onto the piece if you know what I mean.
Anyhoo, my point is that artists should want to stand out, so you be the guy telling the story and not the guy painting for 15 hours just so some git can come along and vandalize it
