Just came across this video of Lennart Green performing close-up card magic at TED. Well worth watching (might want to download it, streaming from the TED site is terrible).

http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/lennart_green_does_close_up_card_magic.html

Any ideas how he does some of this stuff?

Heheh yes he's Swedish. Maybe that's how he's able to do all those tricks? I found it quite amusing how he acts quite clumsy but clearly isn't.

Also the laser bit made me laugh.

Very impressive. He uses his clumsiness to hide his messing about under the table which can be quite obvious at times. But you can't deny, he's very good at what he does! His banter is brilliant.

haha, you need to be very brave and confident to use it in a game though, I've used social non-for-money-having-a-laugh games to tr my card techniques and they worked well but I would never with money, it's just dishonest..

Nice video Powersoft. Must have taken you quite a bit of practise to get that good.

Got any advice/tips for people interested in learning tricks like that themselves?

If i told you...I'd have to kill you. It really is that simple

Thanks for the comments. In short? Don't buy Ellusionist buy some books (Expert at Card Table, Expert Card Technique) and practice.

Then practice some more.

Repeat.
