I have a game with a hallway with an electrical arc effect across it. I also have a Hurt Zone on the same segment, so that when you touch that square it gives the effect of getting shocked by the electricity. The problem is I want to make a switch that deletes/destroys the electricity entity AND the Hurt Zone at the same time, so that you can walk through the hallway and shut off the electricity. Can someone tell me what I need to do to get this to work?

Thanks.

name the zone and electricity the same thing, have the switch activate them, then find a way to edit the electricity and hurt zone scripts so that once activated, they are destoyed (Sorry, board policy says dont give all the answers ) into the hurt zone and electricity script...

You can use FPI EditPad to edit the electricity/hurt zone scripts.

Yeh, with Ply's Mod, you could have a camera show the decal turn off, like an in-game cutscene.......

Hey, that actually isn't a bad idea....

I got it working, thanks!

Here's what I did:
1. Got rid of the hurt zone
2. Copied the decal script
3. Made the decal script so it uses plraddhealth=-50 when you are 60 units away from the lightning bolt
4. Made the decal script check if it was activated, and if so use the destroy command
5. named the decal 'zapper'
6. made a switch which attempts to use 'zapper'
