I have this really odd craving to play a good MMO that you can just become filthy rich in. I've been playing mobs wars on facebook and that's what has given me this itch. I don't even mind if it's browser, in fact, I kind of prefer that. I just want to sit back, play my investments right, trade a little, maybe help people out in fights, then get filthy rich

Second Life was good for that for me when I was building casinos, but since they outlawed gambling it killed it. I know it's not really an MMORPG, but it was still fun making small investments that grew over time. I even cashed out with a profit when all was said and done

Hmm, Ragnarok Online had a merchant class, so you might try it...
