A couple of weeks ago i asked a question about models without textures and i was told to open a fpe file and i just dont know where is this file loacated

thank you
yam

ah yeah another thing.. it doesnt belong to model forum but i prefer asking it then writing a new post somewhere else
i built a level using a lot of sifi models and i think that one of the models (probably a terminal) is making a very annoing sound (like a microwave) is there any was to stop it or mabe increas the volume of the background music

1st question: Have you checked say
Quote: "Crogram FilesThe Game CreatorsFPS CreatorFilesentitybankscififurnitureb"

for example? it comes up as a notepad in a white thing.

2nd Question: this sometimes occurs when an item is ovelapping. It sounds like a irregular clicking noise. check all entities are not overlapping.

PS, your FPE files will appear as unknown file types to windows
something like this

you need to click on them and "open with" notepad.

once you open with notepad, some of it won't make any sense, but never fear!! The bit about textures is very self explanitory!!

2nd. Check your entities don't start with the "repeatsound.fpi" script (right click them in the editor then check the AI-->start field). That'll make them keep playing the sound in their sound field. CHange the "repeatsound.fpi" script for the "appear1.fpi" script and it'll stop the noise.

Go to the following link Yam2:

http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=129738&b=23

Download FPI EditPad Setup and install. You will be able to make and edit FPI, FPE, and FPS files. Also, these files will be associated with EditPad and they will be opened when you double click on the file.

Be sure and download the most recent EXE file by clicking on the download button. Just copy/move it to the where you installed EditPad.

I might be shameless but at least it's free!

@Butterfingers

Good to see you back -- at least a little bit. Would like to see you around more often. BTW, why don't you check out my FPI EditPad as well.
