Geforce 6000 and up have shader model 3.0. Geforce 8 series are the only cards beside some ati ones that have shader 4.0 which runs DX 10 which is only available on vista! he can run the efx mod but its not gonna be that fast. FPSC X10 requires a graphics card with shader 4.0 to run DX 10 and he needs vista to get DX 10. He can run efx mod not FPSC X10. Learn your stuff before u speak TGPEG.

So in conclusion he can run EFX Mod slowly (very laggy) but not FPSC because he need a shader model 4.0 with windows vista with DX 10!

a)Don't create a topic with the same name as one that's just been locked to take a punt at me.

b)I apologise for being wrong but in all fairness I don't have time to research every answer I give to every question I get asked every day. Until such times as it becomes vital to my existence that I can name the capabilities of each and evey single graphics card available on today's market, I'm not going to.

But yes, with that knowledge, you're right.

And you should learn how to be the common man and not pretend to be a administrator/moderator.

Don't create threads that have been locked just to start an argument with someone... TGPEG has his email address listed so you could have just as easily emailed him if you felt it necessary to correct him...
