Hi,
To add to my portfolio I want some logos to design. Simple ones. Text only (I'm only good at text) I can use any free font you choose. But please give me a download link or attach the font file.

Alright, well I had a logo done by someone else but nothing wrong with some variety. So i'm looking for a logo for 'Winnipeg PIxel' preferably using the font Planet Kosmos. Can you do it?

I don't use that font, ever. I think it is unreadable and corny. That's just me though, otherwise it looks okay.

All your logos seem to look the same, you seem to have all the same effects to the text and just alter the font and the color of them.

Anyway to the rest of you. I am trying out Ubuntu and thus can't use Photoshop
Still I'll proberly return to Windows soon and continue. In the mean -time I will try and use Gimp

He wasn't putting you down 5867Dude, simply giving crit. And its not even Harsh Crit. Harsh crit you never give a reason. Just "Your work suckz" etc. But it looks pretty good.

You need to expand the canvas size on that 'Winnipeg PIxel' one. You are chopping off the shadow (actually looks more like a grey glow) on the right and bottom of the word 'PIxel'.

Running the risk of being bashed they are all nice, clean and high quality but they do all have a white outline with a grey glow. It would be nice to see some manipulation of the words or even some simple artwork - just geometric shapes will do if you aren't too artistic to make them more unique. A logo is usually more than just words (unless its using a unique font). I hope you take my comments as constructive as they were intended.

@Alucard: Its because if people can't take the crits then you become a jerk, really stupid, but if you read some of the Moon Rising threads you will see how people are getting more and more confused of what is crit and what is a jerk.

I was in a extensive argument with some Moon Rising members, resulting in my loosing all my respect for them and despise anyone in contact with them.

That's why I in general stay away from the FPSC Models and Media board. Sure there are some people who make quality content there (3 or so) but the rest are immature people who can't take criticism.

Anyways. Any updates on the logos?
